David Dickson is President & Chief Executive Officer for McDermott International, Inc., a position he has held since December 2013. David oversees the strategic direction of the Houston-based, 3+ billion dollar company.
With more than 12,000 employees operating in approximately 20 countries and a diversified global fleet of specialty marine construction vessels, McDermott is a leading provider of complex, integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (“EPCI”) solutions from concept through decommissioning for upstream field developments worldwide.
Prior to McDermott, David spent 11 years with Technip S.A. and its subsidiaries, including as President of Technip U.S.A., Inc., with oversight responsibilities for all of Technip’s North America Operations. David has nearly 30 years of experience in the offshore oilfield engineering and construction industry holding various management positions in market development, project management, engineering, and construction.
David is a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Houston Partnership; an organization focused on the growth and success of the greater Houston area as well as addressing the region’s unique challenges. He is an honors graduate of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow with a bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering.
